Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Pomodoro timer website (the "Service").
Effective Date: 25-Oct-2026
1. Information We Collect
- •Personal Data: You can use the timer, tasks and study rooms without creating an account or providing personal details. Some features, such as statistics, streaks, sync across devices and the leaderboard, need a free account. If you create one (with Google or with an email address and password), we store your email address, your display name, your tasks and your focus sessions. If you join the leaderboard, your display name, country flag and focus totals are public. If you write a review, it is shown on the site with your display name.
- •Emails: If you have an account, we may send you a short weekly summary of your focus time, streak and open tasks. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn it off any time in Profile Settings. Emails are delivered by our email provider, Resend. We do not send advertising or share your email address.
- •Usage Data: We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and from what kind of device. Google Analytics only sets cookies if you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner; otherwise it receives anonymous, cookieless signals. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies.
- •Cookies and Local Storage: Your timer settings, theme, tasks and music volume are stored locally in your browser. If you sign in, sign-in cookies keep you logged in. A "country" cookie stores your country code, taken from your connection, so your flag can be shown on the leaderboard. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- •Provide and improve the timer functionality.
- •Understand how users interact with the Service.
- •Ensure performance and security.
3. Third-Party Services
We use these services to run Go PomoTimer: Supabase (accounts and data), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Cloudflare (network and security), Google (sign-in and analytics), Resend (emails) and PayPal (donations). Each handles information under its own privacy policy. We don't show ads.
Study rooms. To join a study room you enter a display name. Everyone in the room sees that name and the task you picked, if you picked one. Who is in a room is shared live and is not stored. We store the room's name, its timer settings and, if the creator was signed in, a link to their account. A room is deleted after 2 hours with nobody in it.
Notion widget. When you embed our timer in a Notion page, the widget sets no cookies and does not use Google Analytics. It keeps its timer state in your browser's local storage only, and we count how often it is opened with Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies. The widget cannot read your Notion page, and we receive no data from your Notion account.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be used for analytics or improvements.
5. Data Retention
We only retain data for as long as necessary to provide the Service. Local storage in your browser remains until you clear it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Please contact us at support@gopomotimer.io for any requests.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected with a new effective date.
